Hi everyone.
my tsm backup is failling with the following error:
ANS1377W The client was unable to obtain a snapshot of '\\vwarbass0000002\e$'. The operation will continue without snapshot support.
ANS1512E Scheduled event 'DIARIO_0130' failed. Return code = 12.
ANS1403E Error loading a required ad_dll.dll DLL
ANS1403E Error loading a required ad_dll.dll DLL

no modifications were made.
Any idea about it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Basically, TSM cannot find a required DLL, so:
1.- the DLL file could be damaged/deleted (check that the DLL file is in your system, and is readable)
2.- TSM cannot find it because the system variables are not set correctly (windows also has an ENV with variables)
3.- you could try to perform DLL fixing techniques, like unregister the DLL & re-register it with regsrv32, etc
4.- since the problem is in the client, you could try reinstalling the TSM BAC client (faster that doing steps 1-3). You could also update the client to a newer version, so you can kill 2 birds with one shot.
An alternative, which I would probably try first, is to see why the snapshot is failing, and fix that, maybe that is part of the problem.
For that you can check the logs, to see what happened before the errors that you reported, as it could be a VSS problem, that can be fixed from the vssadmin console.

ANS1327W The snapshot operation for 'E:' failed with error code: 653.
Any idea?

Thanks a lot carlos. After refreshing dll. files the backup run succesfully.
- The LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable is not set or exported without the absolute path to /tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin
- Some required software packages may be missing from the host
