BitDefender Threat Scanner error

I am getting an ongoing Bitdefender Threat Scanner error message.  It says that a file containing error information has been created at Z\\WINDOWS\TEMP\Bitdefender Threat Scanner.dmp.  I have never used Bitdefender, nor is it installed on my computer.  I do not have Spybot, nor have I ever had it on this computer.  I CANNOT get rid of this error message!!  HELP!!!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Download a copy of Microsoft Autoruns and see what is starting in the system automatically at boot time.  Chances are you will see something that suggests where the problem is coming from - plus a lot of other stuff that you didn't know starts automatically.  Most systems now ship with so much junk installed that Microsoft had to put out a special, no-spammy-software version of Windows and it is not at all difficult to believe that BitDefender was on the system at one time.

Autoruns reveals everything that runs at startup time and much of it is of no interest.  The items under the "Logon" tab are of most interest, then under "Services" and "Scheduled Tasks."

If that fails to reveal anything then get back to us and we can offer more suggestions.  I'd check Autoruns first, though.
