Windows clients are not reporting in WSUS server

I have configured WSUS server on Windows server 2008 R2. I have more than 500 hundred clients but only a few clients are reporting in WSUS server. I have checked

1. wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow

2. wuauclt.exe /detectnow

GPO seems fine.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are these cloned installation through an image?
If so, you may need to reset the SUSID.
Here's a small script that does this:

I faced this issue recently.
I had to do two things.
1. Decline superseded updates (see my comment: ID: 42431773 here:¬ificationFollowed=202509085#a42431773)
2. Run this on all machines:
net stop wuauserv
net stop bits
REG DELETE “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate” /v AccountDomainSid /f
REG DELETE “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate” /v PingID /f
REG DELETE “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate” /v SusClientId /f
RD /s /q %windir%\SoftwareDistribution
net start wuauserv
net start bits
wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow
wuauclt /reportnow

What means "GPO seems fine""?

If the above will not help:
If you have such troubles with WSUS, run this maintenance script.
It's the best you can find. It will fix just everything wrong with WSUS. That's why it was created. MS is lazy to do anything to fix WSUS errors but this script will take care of everything. Run it and see.
I recommend you to run it to fix all your issues.

I see that script is in only text format. In which format should I convert .vbs, bat or pst1???
Active Protection takes the fight to cryptojacking

While there were several headline-grabbing ransomware attacks during in 2017, another big threat started appearing at the same time that didn’t get the same coverage – illicit cryptomining.

.bat - Open Notepad, insert the code above and rename the file.

I ran that script in PS1 format. But still did not help. No client reported yet.

So you delete superseded updates and run that script on all machines, right? Run that script again. Try to reboot a few of your computers. Any change?

I suggest to run this maintenance script on WSUS.
Arif KhanSystem AdministratorAuthor Commented:
I ran that script on server only. Yes, rebooted server but no machine reported. I have asked end user to check it today but he said, he will check it in  next week. so I will have to wait. Till the time can you share any other process which I could study and apply if in case issue not fixed.
