Intel Chipset - Best way to Identify on Network

Hi All,

So, as that vulnerability has come to light regarding the Intel Chipset. Anyone have any idea what would be the best way to identify the various chipsets on the network.

I guess included with that, some handy info would be:
*Make*
*Model*
*PC Name*
*Chipset*

Thanks in Advance!!

You can use SCCM to collect the inventory of your entire network or you can go for other products which suits you.

If the company size is small then free way is open command prompt on your computer and type msinfo32 which pull out all the information for the local computer and use that window to connect remote computer (View Menu --> Remote Computer) and type IP address will display all hardware information you needs.

Decent size company. SCCM is due to be rolled out in the next couple weeks.

Might be a dumb question, I have not had the opportunity to play with it yet....

Would we need SCCM on all the endpoints or just run it off the server and scan the network?
You just need to set SNMP string on all computers to collect the inventory. Rest will be done by SCCM. SNMP string must be match on both Server and client  ends. I think you need to do install SNMP service on each node if it not installed.

Check below link. (How to install SNMP)

Thanks for your advice. Whilst it would have been ideal to use SCCM it has not been set up.

Downloaded LANSWEEPER and ran that against the network. They even gave me a temp 30 day trial key for full access. Worked very well.
