Error installing Dropbox
My dropbox was working fine. Suddenly it stopped synchronizing, I uninstalled it tried to reinstall and I got the following message:
error 2 in the installation tools
I changed the HD reinstalled a fresh copy of windows 8. No firewall no antivirus installed.
Still same problem
No help in google
Any ideas

Thanks for the update and I was happy to help.
1. Dropbox did not install?
2. It installed and did not synchronize?
In the latter case, log into Dropbox.com with your userid and password, then log into the Local Dropbox with user name and password and see if it syncs.
