Free app on Window to check incoming connection

A new Window 10 workstation can't allow any scanned files from my Canon multifunction printer. Other Window 10 stations works fine. Firewall has been disabled but it doesn't help. I also check the shared folder right and I can access the it through other computer.

Is there any free software that can check any incoming connection so that I can verify whether the Canon has established a connection to my PC or not.

Thx

Yes, the Windows Firewall

Enable Firewall, allow the required port/application and enable logging for inbound successful and failed packets

Hi,

SMB is TCP 445.

You should find a pre-defined rule for file and print sharing, use that.

Firewall is just one part, you actually have to share a folder as the destination to which the smb will save and authenticate.

Why are you using a workstation as a destination.

You would be better off using a server's share as the scan to smb destination while the user on the workstation mapping that location, or being allocated that location using GPP.

Server based share, is always available while the workstation...

The server includes a centralized backup option versus dealing with individual workstations and handling transition between workstations while retaining all data...
