Outlook for MAC 2016 keeps crashing

Outlook for Mac 2016 keeps crashing and keep getting the pinwheel of death. Constantly have to force quit. No other office application has an issue or locks up. Installed the latest updates for office.

This is a brand new laptop on 2 weeks old. All the updates are installed for the current O/S and office.
The macOS version is 10.13.2. I've completely uninstalled office and reinstalled it and it still crashes Outlook.

Any suggestions would be great.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Thanks! I'll give that a try. Just FYI, Outlook doesn't crash at first start up. It opens then crashes about every 10 minutes or so and gives the pin wheel that causes a force quit.
