No sound on ipad

All of a sudden, no sound from youtube on iPad.

How do I get it back?

Google searches produce garbage, no real info.

Thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I'd try to do a soft reset.

Here you have a couple links to see how to do it:

Hope it works.

Have you accidentally pressed the mute button on the edge of your iPad?

1. Tap the "Settings" icon to open the iPad configuration options.

2. Tap "General" in the left column.

3. Tap the "Lock Rotation" option in the "Use Side Switch To" section to prevent the iPad from automatically changing the screen's orientation when you rotate the device. The screen remains in the orientation the device is in when you activate the side switch.

4. Tap the "Mute" option in the "Use Side Switch To" section to configure the side switch to function as a mute button. When the side switch is active, the iPad's alerts, notifications, game and app audio, and sound effects are silenced.
