SQL Server SSIS Error

What does this error mean and how does it get resolved?

An error occurred while assigning a value to variable "TruncateLength": "Single Row result set is specified, but no rows were returned."

I am trying to load data using a SSIS package and receive the error above. Does it have to do with data in the files I am trying to load (for example some of the data needs to shortened in length or a comma) or is it something wrong with the SSIS package? I have two types of files and mapping instructions for each type I have four different files with regards to the data for each type. The same error comes up for each file. This leads me believe it is not with data, but with the SSIS package itself.

Please let me know if any additional information is needed.

Can you provide a snapshot of the SSIS package?

it may be because of the data type & the data in the file. Check if the fields are set to correct data type.

Hello jverasql,

This error is because of no rows returned from the query you have used in execute sql task.

As you have configured as "Single Row" as Result set configuration value and its not returning any row it's throwing error.

Just change the where condition in the query or return row with null for that column.

Hope it help..!!
