How to completely clear Chrome / Win 10 browsing history

I have heard that it is near impossible to clear Chrome browsing history. What is the best solution? I am not against paying for a utility that will accomplish this task if it is something that takes many steps to perform manually. NOTE: I will NOT be able to reply to this question for perhaps two days so please don't get upset if I don't reply in a "timely manner".

1. Click on the menu tab (Three vertical dots located in the top right of your browser)
2. Click on More Tools and click on Clear Browsing Data
3. In this menu, ensure the following options are ticked:
- Browsing History
- Download History
- Cookies and other site plug-in data
- Cached images and files
- Passwords       // depends on you
4. Then click on Clear Browsing Data

                                                                    * * * * *

One level deeper is to delete your user  profile in Chrome (you will lose all your settings in Chrome and it will start from the scratch):

1.Close out of all Google Chrome windows you might have open.
2.Navigate to the following location based on your operating system: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data
3.Rename the “Default” folder to “Default old“.
4.Open Google Chrome.
