VOIP Phone System Monitoring

Hi Guys,

We currently have a VOIP system (Allworx PBX + Phones, TPx is the voice tone provider). In recent days, TPx voice engineers would make a configuration overnight and tank either our inbound or outbound capabilities. The President didn't take likely to this because on the first day we were down for 8 hours.

Question: is there a way to monitor whether inbound or outbound calls?

Usually, engineers making changes shoukd test an incoming call and then an outgoing one.

What resources are available in the environment?

Unfamiliar with the pbx referenced.

For this kind of situation, there is nothing you can do for monitoring they're your SIP trunk provider. The only way for you to know whether is working or not is making a call, now, something you can do is have another trunk carrier as backup in case something happens thus you can tell TPX to forward your number towards the other DID of your backup carrier thus you will get all the incoming, 8 hours that a lot, that means the company is not reliable enough. Try checking for diff Gateways provider.
