Hi,

Have you checked Outlook Filter settings on Inbox to make sure that show "All" mail is selected or hasn't been accidentally selected to only show emails from a specific date?

Also, is this a PST file or connected to Microsoft Exchange?

i tried previously to recover and it recovr some e-mail NOT all of them ( few ONLY)  .. the strange thing according to the user .. everything was running fine and he went for 10 minutes break then he noted that some e-mails are missed .

As I said , the outlook shows Sharepoint login failure and we dont have sharepoint ... I disable the tick box for soical connectors and now it is ok  .. I am wondering somthing similar could cause the issue
Hi mu3tasem,

It sounds like you have a far more significant problem on your hands.

If you tried to recover the user's mailbox from backup, and it only recovered some emails, then that implies that your backups are not working correctly.

If so, then you need to address that urgently and ahead of probably anything else that you are working on - in general, you can recover from almost anything except failed backups.

How are you running backups, and what is your procedure for doing test restores?  How frequently are you running backups and test restores?

Thanks,

Alan.
Hi  Alan ,

Initialy i tired to recover from  (recover deleted items ) at outllok and there it restored some items ONLY .. I didnt find the reason  why this problem happened but finaly i didnt find any way to solve except restoring from backup and it worked fine .. the concern was why some e-mails has been disappeaed and i couldnt find the answer ..
Hi,

Not sure why you are saying that nobody helped.

The initial question was summarised as,
any one know how we can solve this issue and let the emails again in inbox

Above, you say that,
finaly i didnt find any way to solve except restoring from backup and it worked fine

Restoring from backup was one of the solutions that I specifically suggested in my first post.

Thanks,

Alan.
Hi,

I propose:

ID: 42442150 (Alan) = 500 points (Best answer as the final solution was to restore from backup)

ID: 42442031 (Andrew) = 500 points (Good starting suggestion to check that it was not a 'view' issue even though it was not the final solution)

Thanks,

Alan.
I'm happy with Alan's closing proposal, though I'd be just as happy if all credit was given to Alan's ID: 42442150 comment as well, given that it was the best answer.  Mods can feel free to make the call that you agree with the most.

Cheers...
