Updates for Microsoft Office 2016 32-Bit Edition fail to install

I have a computer where updates for Microsoft Office 2016 (32Bit) fail to install.  I've tried manually installing, running Microsoft FixIt software, and uninstalling my anti-virus. Still the updates fail to install.

I've tried most (20+) but so far none can install.  I'm thinking of totally uninstalling MSO 2016 and any residual files from previous versions, and then see if a fresh install will allow the updates.

Shaun was correct. I found that even uninstalling left files from the 2007 version of office on the computer.   After using the fixit utility to totally remove any evidence of Microsoft Office and reinstalling Office 2016, the Office updates ran successfully.  Bottom line, be sure to completely uninstall all prior versions of Office before installing/upgrading to Office 2016.
