Import Email Addresses into Exchange 2007

Our company maintains a Customer List of over 1500 email addresses.  None of these addresses are in Active Directory in our domain.  We do NOT want to create AD accounts for these either.
We'd like to import these addresses into Exchange 2007 into a Distribution Group named "All Customers".  We anticipate a quarterly "mass mailing" to that Distribution Group that would include a brochure or a quarterly special discount of some kind.
Is this possible?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You could import them all as external contacts. They would be AD objects. That said, what you're proposing is not how things are done these days. You could get blacklisted for sending "spam". It is hard to manage and maintain. It is much easier to use a commercial mailing service with response tracking, bounce detection, etc. such as MailChimp.

Shortly after posting my question, I began to "google" for info regarding my problem.  Several pages referred me to mailchimp.  That's the way I'm going.
