Themes
I have a pictures folder named "PC5" that contains pictures in it that somehow I must have added it to Themes in window 10 . I would like to know if I delete it from there will it also get deleted from "MY PICTURES" in file explorer. I do not want to delete them permanently , I just want to remove it from under themes and add some other folder.
The built-in slideshow will display photos from any folder you select. You might want to create a folder under "Pictures" just for those images you want to be part of the slideshow, then point your screensaver to that folder.
I do not want to delete them permanently
Move the folder to (or at least ensure the folder is located in) your Pictures folder. Now it is safe.
As noted in the prior post point your Themes to a different folder of your choice.

I think it will, yes. Keep pictures you want to keep in a folder that Themes does not know about.

Put your pictures you want in your Pictures folder.
Go to Themes and do NOT select this folder (Pictures).

But I want to remove it from there. It was selected from My Pictures.
In Themes, change where Themes points to. Do not point Themes to Pictures. That is why you are having issues. Point Themes somewhere else. Use the default Themes location.
Look in your Users folder local\appdata\Microsoft\Wi ndows\Them es for the default folder

I am sorry John, but I know whether I am pointing at the folder or the themes it self that's not the problem is I want to remove it so it will no longer be showing in Themes . But I don't want to lose /delete it from My Pictures folder
You apparently at a loss to use Windows so do not delete it from Themes until you know where Themes points to and in addition back up the pictures in your Pictures folder in case something goes wrong.

with all due respect, I am an expert like you. But give me some credit. Don't try to put me down .by implying I am ignorant about using windows. I do know some things about windows 10 but no as much as I would like to. I know the themes like wallpaper. Difference between the default pictures that come with windows and the folder that I chose to add to Themes at one point in time is the folder keep changing the pictures versus the default remain fixed. I will backup that folder in Themes and remove it from there just in case it gets deleted from My pictures. Thank you kindly sir. God bless you.

I was not trying to put you down - my apologies for that, but you were saying you did not understand my steps. So just backup as you say and then when you delete the folder from Themes you can replace the Pictures if you need to .

Can you please tell me why the names are different for the themes under setting versus the themes location path. Is the roamed themes folder a windows 10 default because it is empty. what is the trancoded wallpaper that has no image. how can I add folder to the themes later if I decide to do so.
Many thanks
