Need to Raise the Domain and Forest Functional Levels for Active Directory DMZ Environment

We need to Raise the Domain and Forest Functions Levels for an Active Directory Environment in a DMZ Environment. Currently the Domain functional level is Windows Server 2003 and the Forest Functional Level is Windows Server 2003. When Raising the functional level what should be start with first. Should be raise the Domain Function Level First or the Forest Functional Level?

If you're raising both, it doesn't matter which one is first.

If you want to be pragmatic.
Start with the Forest Functional level (it's wider than Domain Functional).
then go to the Domain functional level.

Either way, if you start for one or the other like Mr. MacDonald said, it doesn't matter I just have done it that way always, because the forest functional level works mostly with AD schema while domain level works mostly at the domain and AD level, so I'd go bigger 1st then smaller.
