I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, it can be good and bad.

You would enable circular logging if you need to conserve diskspace.  Ask drives are inexpensive these days, there really isn't a reason to enable circular logging.

Circular logging IMHO iis only a stop-gap measure while you provision more disk space. You must be running Rapid Recovery 6.1 or newer or it will be misidentified as Exchange 2013.  Your logs should be truncating after every backup
