I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have a really, really close look at the elements you copied and pasted from the code blocks on the thetrainline.com site.
The double quotes there are real purdy ones, all cursive, and elegant, and, most of all, totally unsuited for XML attributes.
The attributes must be enclosed in regular double quotes (ASCII 34).
Use a real, dedicated, text editor (not a word processor) to edit the file, and replace all the "double quotes" you copied and pasted with the regular straight ones.
Direct comparison; the first one is the one from the web site, the second one the required one:
” "

| +-- ASCII 34
+---- ASCII Who cares, but not 34

Zoom into this page and compare the two double quotes I posted in the code box above. Notice the difference?
The double quotes used on the linked web page are not the correct ones to use. They need to be replaced with standard double quotes.
