iTunes sync issue with iPhone

As of late, my  iphone and iTunes will never complete sync. No changes has been made with iTunes nor iOS update. I tried to plug the usb cable to a differnt usb port, but still to no avail. I am not able to update iOS and iTunes as I have the latest version already.

All it does when i try to sync is stay stuck at step 3 and never complete the sync. Anything I can do to resolve this?

iPhone IOS went to 11.2.5 yesterday and iTunes went to 12.7.3 at the same time.

1. Update iTunes, then update IOS, then restart both devices and try syncing again.
2. Look in Action Center or Security/Maintenance for Reliability History. Run this. Any iTunes or Outlook errors related to Apple / iTunes?

Followed step 1 but to no avail. Is there a file that i can rename to .old or recreate to resolve the sync issue?

Try the following:

Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features:
Uninstall the following in order as shown:

Quick Time
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Apple Application Support

Restart the computer.

Remove the folder:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes

Now install the latest version of iTunes

Then see if syncing starts.

Tried all the steps above in an orderly fashion as you suggested, but still to no avail.

That always works for me / clients.   Is it possible to see if someone near you has the same setup and it works?

You may need to consider a Windows Repair Install
