Using Word to generate a Fax Cover

I fax a lot and spend too much time creating the custom cover page for the fax.

I use a current version of Word for Mac.

How can I do this automatically?

Thanks.

you can create a fax cover page template with your information and space to add the recipients information

How do I get started with Templates in Word?

Katie PierceCommented:
When you first open Word, instead of selecting New Blank Document, type "Fax Cover" into the template search bar. Select the template you like and complete it according to your needs. Highlight the entire contents, click Insert->Cover Page->Save Selection to Cover Page Gallery->fill in data fields as you like.

Now when you are working in a document and want to insert your pre-made fax cover sheet, click Insert->Cover Page->scroll to bottom->select the fax cover page you had created and saved there. It will now appear at the beginning of the document.

Does it autofill the fields magically? Or do I just need to copy paste into those fields?

I say magically, but assume if there is one name, business and address at the top of page 1, then the fax cover could grab that from there.

at some point, the info has to be available. the best is from a excel file or a database.
then you have to create the cover pages using the excel file and the fields in the cover page using Word's Mail Merge in the Mailings tab

you may have to confirm the fax numbers manually??????
