Excel 32 bit and 64 bit

I have a power user that is running into "Out of Memory" issues with 32 bit Excel.  All my client machines are running 32 bit Office 2016 Standard.  Can I simply uninstall 32 bit excel and install 64 bit excel and leave the rest of office 2016 32 bit?

No. And running 64bit instead of 32bit couldn't solve "Out of Memory" issue.

Make sure all versions of Office / Apps are either 32-bit or 64-bit. You can’t have a mix of both.

You need to completely uninstall Office 32-bit, restart and reinstall Office 64-bit.  You need to be careful about 32-bit Java and other apps for possible conflicts so be aware of that.

Then, on a 64-bit operating system, Office (Excel) 64-bit should provide the workspace with ample memory. Make sure the physical machine has at least 8 GB of memory.

Keep in mind there are different types of memory.  This is out of memory issue is an Excel dialog, then it's probably fixed by going to 64 bit.  But if it's a Windows error, it may not be.
