Mail Server

I have a mail server.
It is windows 2016 server.
Question: How to test that this mail server is working?

Send mail through it?

You can test connectivity using Microsoft's Remote Connectivity Analyzer.  You can also use Telnet to test Exchange connectivity.  Lastly, MXToolbox has a diagnostics page you can try.

To get any advice you must tell us a little a beat more.
What kind of email server ? Exchange ?
What kind of firewall you have and if is configured for email traffic.
Do you have external domain registered
Do you have certificate installed
Do you have MX record in your external DNS
What kind of client from inside you going to use to send/receive emails ?

1) How do I know the SERVICE is running?

2) When I click "DNS" at the delivery test....it is good
