"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

First of all I would ensure that the Network Interface cards are Negotiating on the highest bandwidth available to your network.  make sure that the clients are negotiating on the same bandwidth as the server.

This link should help you out,

Basically describes for large file copies to use robocopy with the /MT option,  and some registry entries to tune the file copying  SMB performance

Kind Regards
