Is there an equivalent in Outlook for Gmail's Labels feature

I have a user who loves Gmail - particularly the Labels/Rules feature. Her organisation is moving over to Outlook and she wants to know if there is an equivalent in Outlook. I have suggested Rules with colour coded categories but she is pining for the Labels feature. Any workarounds/similar feature in Outlook (Desktop or online) . Thanks.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Labels in gmail are just a plain filter, nothing more. You can achieve the same with categories or by simply changing the view settings. A more powerful variant of that will be Search folders, which allow you to use pretty much any criteria: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/use-search-folders-to-find-messages-or-other-outlook-items-c1807038-01e4-475e-8869-0ccab0a56dc5
