Disappearing emails in Outlook 2007/exchange.

Email setup and working on Secretaries PC boss now wants it on his iphone and his PC set it all up as per normal ie it’s a hotmail email that was configured in exchange by his ex accountant.

It pops up briefly in the inbox of the bosses devices and then literally disappears. I’ve tried from scratch setups on PST and OST data files, auto archive etc.

Hair pulling aside any clues both run Outlook 2007 fully patched and legal. Many thanks in advance.

I am assuming you have an AV which might be deleting your emails as they come in. Probably the AV detects the emails as SPAM and immediately deletes them. I would encourage you to check you AV logs.

Kindly confirm the exchange server edition as well as if you are running any anti spam software on the server.

Is the computer of your boss running Windows 10 (Build 1709)?

Actually, Outlook 2007 is not compatible with Windows 10 (especially after the fall creater update).

I recommend you to advise your boss to upgrade to Outlook 2016.

Besides, you can try to install Outlook for iOS or Outlook for Android and do a test to see whether the emails are still there.

They can't go above 2007 as he's had a really expensive powerpoint database unique to his business written and
the author locked the program and since died this was in 2003 and I wanted to run it on 2016 but couldn't get it to work above 2007. Yes it's Win 10 and it's the developers edition, I'll downgrade his to Win 7 and run it from there, thanks for the steer that said the Secretary is running win 10 with 2007. I'll check the AV it's karpersky on both computers
and the bosses pc is the old secretary's PC which I upgraded
and he took hers, which was working seamlessly but too slow for her.
