Itunes Backup - how to restore some photos to Windows 10

Hi Experts,

I have accidentally deleted some precious photos from my Iphone (they are not backed up to iCloud).

But I have a full iTunes backup on a Windows 10 PC.

Is there a way of restoring selected photos from the backup, preferably to the PC, if not to the iPhone?

There are instructions to "Restore your device from an iTunes backup" on this page.

Note: I've not personally tested the above process but seems pretty straightforward.  I'm assuming this would restore your entire phone to your last backup though.

Hi Andrew,

Sorry for any confusion resulting from my vague post.

The backup is from my previous iPhone (which has been disposed), not the current one.
So it would not make any sense to restore a backup from an old phone to a new one.

I really want to just restore selected photos from the backup.

I've tried  @Andrew's suggestion.  it is something like Windows System Restore and it will restore you're iPhone from your Backup and can easily bring back your Photos to your iPhone.

Note: keep in mind that you will lose any changes on your iPhone (contacts, messages, Apps, settings, photo,  ...) that you have made after that backup.

if you don't want to lose and data then Backup your Phone with iTunes on another PC, Restore your backup from your computer, move  those photos from your phone to your computer, then restore from your backup from the second computer to go back to the current status.

Forget about trying to restore the entire backup onto your phone .. this is completely unnecessary.

There are several programs that allow you to browse and extract data from iPhone backups .. try some of these

If you can see the photos you wanted .. it may require a full paid version of the software to extract a lot of photos but some can be recovered for FREE

Hi Eoin,

Thanks for your suggestions.

The EASEUS product worked.

I paid for the full version - recovered all the photos and videos.

Only downside was the all timestamps were for date/time of recovery.
