Deleting a certificate?

Setting up my new 2016 remote desktop server, I purchased the wrong certificate. Godaddy was fine with issuing a refund & selling me the right one, but now how do I delete it & any references to it?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

the way to do it is to Create the new request on your cert.
then get the issued certificate from GoDaddy (the new one).
Configure the new cert in the RDS.

then remove the old one.
you can check there certs in
MMC/file/add or remove .../Certificates/ Local machine / personal.
you will get the wrong cert there.
