Window key license when ESXi installing
Hi I am trying to install ESXi in PC. I have some issues. I hope expert to give some points. Thank you
1. Windows10 key license: the Windows10 is now installed in the PC. I want to transfer the license from current PC windows10 to the guest Windows10 after I format the PC and install WIndows10 on the ESXi. I contacted the PC vendor. He said i can connect to internet and then directly activate it after I install guest WIndow10. Is this right way?
2. I am going to install ESXi and then Windows 10 on it. All of these is for personal lab use and it is not for production. Where can I can buy it in low price? Can I copy the guest Windows10 without second new license?

Thank you so much for your fast reply. I bought PC, which was preinstalled with Windows10. So that key license is inside the PC. I cannot see it. And I just want to make lab. if it does not work, that is also fine.
Sorry I did not express myself clearly. I mean, all ESXi on sale for production is expensive. and the price is so different and various in different stores. I wonder if there is cheap ESXi for us to make lab at home?

or, is your License Key retail ? e.g. you purchase a Windows 10 box?
But I would not bother, re-format your PC, install ESXi, and then download and install the Evaluation version below, and it will all work free for 90 days.
