Downloading file from sftp

Hi,
I have to download a file from SFTP (using pvt-pub key pair). I have been exploring few options, but not having a good luck in that process. I am also exploring winscp commands.. Basically I have installed pub cert on sftp server. I need to use port 22, username, server name, pass phrase to connect to sftp server and download the file. Anything in powershell would also do

Regards,

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can run FileZilla from the command line:

there is nothing built-in Powershell. You will need the help of some 3rd party. have a look at https://stackoverflow.com/questions/38732025/upload-file-to-sftp-using-powershell

But yes that does open the window; however, you can close all open windows with a separate command.

You might take a look at WinSCP, it has integration support for Powershell and a decent number of examples exist to build off of.

Apologies for delayed response. If I use winSCP, where/how do I mention passphrase while sending the request to SFTP server?
