First thing to do, is try to eliminate a software cause. Simply boot a windows setup usb stick and let it rest for half an hour or so and see if the touchpad still works.

Dell Inspiron 17R. &nbsp;Touchpad freezes and then stops after boot up. &nbsp;You can restart and it will work for a few minutes and lock up again.<br />

Dell Recommended updating Bios which I have done.<br />
Reinstalling the touchpad which I have done.<br />

Anyone else have any recommendations.<br />

Dell Inspiron 17R.  Touchpad freezes and then stops after boot up.  You can restart and it will work for a few minutes and lock up again.
