I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The  simple solution is using common table expressions (CTE). Here you simply wrap up your separate queries as expressions. Then you can use them like views:

WITH Courses
AS ( yourCoursesQuery ) ,
AS ( yourRequestQuery )
FROM   Courses C
       INNER JOIN Requests R ON C.KeyColumns = R.KeyColumns;

Open in new window

Depending on the performance and structure of your queries, the old-school approach is still the better: Just combine both queries manually in one.
