EMC not starting

I have a SBS 2011.  Suddenly we cannot start the EMC.  It gives the following error nmessage:   Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message: The WinRM client cannot process the request. It cannot determine the content type of the HTTP response from the destination computer. The content type is absent or invalid. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.
I have found a lot on information about this problem on Internet and I have checked/tried/changed everything but no luck.
Anyone who can guide me through a step by step fault finding?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are the https bindings for Default Web Site (in IIS) assigned a valid SSL certificate?
usbboyAuthor Commented:
Yes we have a SSL certificate

We login remotely to client computers and I know we need a SSL certificate for that.  It works fine to login remotely on the server and all the client machines.  The Exchange server itself is running without problems.  It is just the EMC we can't get started.

We don't use the Default Website but when I try https://localhost it actually says there is a certificate problem.

Solved it.  In the Appool MSExchangePowerShellAppPool the value Enable 32-bit Applications was set to true.  Changed that to False, restarted IIS and EMC started without problem
