Does making config changes on Hyper-V vswitch interrupt network?

Hi,

I currently have 2 Hyper-V hosts and the vswitch was just set up from the manager, and has been working ok for a while now. I would like to make it a converged switch and am wondering if i make the changes with PowerShell to the existing working vswitch, how will that affect my current network? Will it briefly disconnect? will the host need to be rebooted? or they Hyper-V service restarted?

I have found the information on how to set this up new, but there does not seem to be any information about updated and existing vswitch. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi Pam,

I have found a script template for you for Hyper-V Converged,  I believe that if you do this correct the first time it will be a minimal or no service interruption.  I would suggest you do this in a test lab first to be one hundred percent sure.
