I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

All Other printers are able to Print redirected except this model HP 1102w
HP was no help.
There wasn't a windows server 2012 driver download

There are Windows 7, 8 and 10 drivers for this printer (HP Site for this model of printer) . The "w" suggests wireless. Try hooking it up by Ethernet and see if that works. It should have an RJ45 socket.

There is no ethernet hookup on priter- only  USB-Tried installing Win 8 drivers on server didn't see win 10 on HP site-They are printing from a windows 7 32 bit computer which the printer is hooked up to. I have a Brother printer which prints via USB no problem.

USB does not work well as a print server. I suggest you probably abandon this printer as a networked printer and use a different one.

Do you mean the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w?

That only has "host-based" print drivers.  Host-based print drivers are not supported by HP for printer redirection in Citrix server or MS RDS environments.

Unfortunately, the Software Technical Reference for the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w shows that the printer is NOT compatible with the PCL 5e universal print driver or UPD (only the P1600 model is compatible with the PCL 5e).  So, using the UPD will not be an option for the 1102w.  So, I agree with John: you will have to use a different printer for printing from the server. A network printer with a PCL print driver is your best bet.
