disable mail on mac book

I would like to make it so a mac is not able to connect to email via active sync but all other devices are. I know mac mail uses EWS but if i do a full disable of EWS in Exchange command shell it loses connection with Skype for Business as well. Is there any way i can have my cake and eat it to?

Take a look at this blog...https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/vik/2007/02/27/how-to-allow-only-provisioned-windows-mobile-devices-to-connect-to-your-network/

It tells how to allow only provisioned mobile devices to connect to your network.

You can set the "allowed" devices for a particular mailbox.

This should do what you're looking for.

Thank you Scott!! I will take a look at this.
Scott thank you for the Link but Mac mail from a PRObook does not show up on a list of active sync devices only the mobile devices are showing up.
Are you attempting to stop a computer or a specific user. computers don't use active sync only mobile devices. computers user OWA, outlookanywhere, and outlook via Mali or RPC/http.
I would be for a specific user.
Just disable active sync on the users mailbox. See the below instructions:

In the Exchange Admin Center, navigate to Recipients > Mailboxes.
In the list of user mailboxes, click the mailbox that you want to enable or disable Exchange ActiveSync for, and then click Edit Edit icon.
On the mailbox properties page, click Mailbox Features.
Under Mobile Devices, do one of the following:
To disable Exchange ActiveSync click Disable Exchange ActiveSync.
A warning appears asking if you're sure you want to disable Exchange ActiveSync. Click Yes.
To enable Exchange ActiveSync, click Enable Exchange ActiveSync.
Click Save to save your change.

Again the computer doesn't use active sync, so if the user is attempting to use a mobile device this will help, but if you are attempting to stop the users from accessing email completely on the MAC without actually disabling his mailbox do the following:

In the Exchange Admin Center, navigate to Recipients  > Mailboxes.
In the list of user mailboxes, click the mailbox that you want to enable or disable MAPI, and then click Edit Edit icon.
On the mailbox properties page, click Mailbox Features.
Under Email Connectivity, do one of the following.
To disable MAPI, under MAPI: Enabled, click Disable.
A warning appears asking if you're sure you want to disable MAPI. Click Yes.
Click Save to save your change.

Do the same thing for OWA so that the user can't access emails via the web:

Use the EAC to enable or disable Outlook Web App
In the EAC, navigate to Recipients > Mailboxes.
In the list of user mailboxes, click the mailbox that you want to enable or disable Outlook Web App for, and then click Edit Edit icon.
On the mailbox properties page, click Mailbox Features.
Under Email Connectivity, do one of the following:
To disable Outlook Web App, under Outlook Web App: Enabled, click Disable.
A warning appears asking if you're sure you want to disable Outlook Web App. Click Yes.
Click Save to save your change.
Thank you Tim I will give this a try and let you know !!
I believe that points should be awarded to timgreen7077 because author acknowledged he will try the recommended fix, and based on his question the resolutions I provided should have been able to resolve author's issues.
