I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Are you wanting to transfer these files to the host machine or to a virtual server or workstation that is running on the host machine?

I need to transfer these files to a virtual server
Is the VM on the network?
If so create a share or map a drive to the vm from host that has the file.
If its a windows vm one can use MS RDP once setup or vsphere client to console into the vm.
