MAC OS Training

After my time in school which was 99% Windows.  I want to know if anyone knows a site to get free training courses for the MAC OS?  Thank you for your help.

Hi Carlos,

A good question that I faced myself several years ago. I've found that it's common for people to just assume that everyone should just know how to use a MAC because they're (arguably) so "intuitive" to use, but that never rang true for me the first time I sat down with one. I think moving to a MAC when coming from a Windows environment can often be quite a handicap for a lot of people.

Paid courses are plentiful, but I'm not aware of many "free" courses for using the MAC OS. That said, there's a lot of helpful hints and tips to be found at the following resources which are free;

"Meet your MAC" resource from Apple
"Free Apple MAC Computer Lessons" at
"OS X Basics Tutorials" at GFC Learn Free

Hope that's of some help to you.

Hi Carlos,

One of our experts created a course titled "Mac Basics: Mastering Your Mac For Home & Business." He's knowledgeable and very responsive so if you have any questions as you go through the course I'm sure he'd be more than willing to help.

It's not a free course, but pretty affordable for all the subject matter that's covered. There is a discount for Premium members.

You can find it here:

All the best,

Your local library probably has introductory computer books. I would look there. They might even have e-books which can be borrowed without leaving your home, depending on how advanced the library is.
