Using MS Hello on a Domain(SBS2008) Joined Surface Book

Running SBS 2008, new Domain joined PC using Win10 with Windows 'Hello' capability. Windows Hello is greyed out and unavailable for use.

What magic is necessary to make the Facial Recognition aspect of Microsoft Hello work in the SBS2008 environment?

Windows Hello for business, which is what you need for domain joined machines, needs an infrastructure to support it. It needs to store the keys somewhere that an administrator can retrieve them if need be (which is a valid assumption given that the machine is domain joined.)  There are several supported ways of getting there, but SBS 2008 alone can't do it no matter what.  If your infrastructure is that old, you won't be able to use Hello (for Business.)

Thanks for the (unfortunate, but accurate) information.
