ODBC failed to connect on sql server express

Connect to sql server express

After connect to the DB and set all params, I link to one of the tables and get the error "ODBC - failed to connect", then the table shows the correct  number of records with "#name" on all columns.

Can anyone help?

check the credentials (User ID and Password) used in your ODBC setting and make sure it's valid?

Also sql express has an instance name of  SQLExpress  so might need to append that to your SERVERNAME on connection string

The default for sqlexpress is .\sqlexpress  and pretty sure it must be integrated security.
