Thanks for the fast reponse

in this situation

i need count each number in the 13 set (1week)

then show the numbers as the order it happens

let me explain an sample

1- if we goes to week 13W2014

then you see

what i need in column

DY DZ

is the each count number

which will give the top number

in the order that happens

this the results

after the count

im using this tools for count

each column but need an more fastest way to complete the task

count-each-number.xlsm

Try this. Run the DY_DZ macro that you'll find in Module1.

29081674.xlsm

29081674.xlsm

then i take the data as here

then have to be copied to be count ( i want this to be directly in the file

then paste the result in the file

then need have the data show as here

this the file with the sample

678965456--1-.xlsx

This version has a button. You'll find it near columns DY:DZ.

29081674a.xlsm

29081674a.xlsm

Try this.

29081674b.xlsm

29081674b.xlsm

but working great

when in top cpunt is example 05 it show just 5 need be show as 05

See his latest file and look at the cell DY13. It shows the count of 5 is 5 in DZ13 while I don't see 5 in numbers in the range BF6:BF16.

Or I am missing something?

- The numbers in column DY are the single-digit numbers contained the BF column in any give week.
- The numbers in DZ are the number of times the number in DY occurs. DY/DZ is sorted on DY.
- The numbers in EA in the '1- row' are a concatenation of the first two DFY values.
- The numbers in EA in the '2- row' are a concatenation of the first three DFY values.

as i see you point the only diference is the sort

in my original files sort are from minor to mayor

with martin solution is from mayor to minor

but is working as expected

becasuse all will be the same ((i mean the same pattern)

but let me know if you need more information

or suggestion from you will be welcome always

Great Expert

This is what I understood regarding your requirement.

For each week in column B, count the occurrences of all the single digits used in the numbers in the range

So the

Or the requirement is something else. Lol

Sorry! If I am not getting it. :)

yes you rigth

one week then count all the digit of that week

Can you just explain why DY13 and DZ13 contain 5 in them?

Yes !!

Im looking for the top repeat only in this situation

the top pair

and the first 3 digit are

then an 3 digit top

then thats what;s i need

let me know is you get it

after all the count the most

repeat are my guide to work with

But the point is you have got a working solution. :)

let me see the most

2 repeat then the 3 most repeat

then i use like an mark

i then put horizontally

but the first 2 and first 3

because that make an mark to follow

All I want to know that why there is 5 in DY13 and DZ13?

yes

When I fix it I'll be happy to have the question opened again so we can split the points.

don't say that

im not an expert like yours

but glad you area around

MArtin i know try to make a fast solution

GetNumerCount.xlsm

Yes is working as should be !!

can help with 2 minor issues

1- the sort can be minor to mayor when repeat count are ??

2- can be the first 2 and first 3 be show ?

1- the sort can be minor to mayor when repeat count are ??Right now the sort order is Descending on column DZ. Do you want it to be in Ascending order?

2- can be the first 2 and first 3 be show ?Can you explain this? Do you want to show only top 2 in column DY:DZ?

Run the code in the file I uploaded, delete the values from DY4:DZ11 and manually show your desired output then.

It is 1:17 AM here so I will log off now and will look at it tomorrow. Hope that's fine with you. :)

you 2 understand my solution need

some times is not that easy

but working togheter
