migrate LAMP-based website to Azure

We have a LAMP stack-based website on a Unix server at our web host. We are thinking of moving it to MS Azure, because we upload data from our local SQL databse to Azure for the website to use. The website calls out to the Azure SQL database for data to use in MySQL. Pretty clunky. Is migrating a LAMP website easy enough to do and stable on Azure?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes. You could build your own by deploying a Linux server but I highly recommend LAMP Certified by Bitnami
