Search only within a particular column or row within Excel 2016

How can I search only within a particular set of columns or rows within Excel 2016?

For example I often have columns that are labelled for different items such as computer name where I will only want to search for the word "HP" that appears within these columns.

How can this be done?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Highlight the column (or columns) that you want to search in Excel first, then Ctrl+F and type your search term.  The search will then only be done in the highlighted column(s).

Just further to my last above, to highlight an entire column or row, click the Column Letter or Row Number

To highlight more than one column (or row) hold your control key down while you select the columns and rows you want to search in.

Excel
Hope that's helpful.
