Issue with BIPUBLISHER

I have created an rtf - template in BI Publisher .  When I export to excel,  the field type : number : formatted as : 0.00 will display as : 1467.3899999999999  and not as 1467.39.  This is not always the case.

<?sum(current-group()/fld_SF_MONETARY_AMOUNT)?>  This is what it looks like in the word template.  I would like to wrap it with this : <?format-number:fieldname;'999G999D99'?>.

I have tried :        <?sum(current-group()/format-number:fld_SF_MONETARY_AMOUNT;'999G999D99'))?>   Hoping that when this exports the number will not default with the long decimal portion.

error I get : [020218_111132159][] [Line 205.210] Incorrect XPath: sum(current-group()/format-number:fld_SF_MONETARY_AMOUNT;'999G999D99'))

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Lucy

Try this:
<?format-number(sum(current-group()/fld_SF_MONETARY_AMOUNT), '###,###.00'?>

I got it from:
