Excel String question

What formula can I use in an Excel field to look for the first occurrence of a character & return everything to the left of that?  
Basically, I have:   bill@aol.com
I want:                    bill

Assuming your string is in A2, then try this...
=LEFT(A2,FIND("@",A2)-1)
