How to add begins with to a criteria in access

I am creating an access report with a form that you enter a file name and that gets pulled into the query criteria so the report can search by the specific file name.

Criteria  [Forms]![Enter File Name]![file_name]

I need to add in begins with to this criteria so they do not have to type the document extension PDF or DOC for example but I am not sure what the proper syntax is to get that to work. I know you can do like "X*" but how do you insert that into [Forms]![Enter File Name]![file_name]

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It could be:

Like [Forms]![Enter File Name]![file_name] & "*.*"

instead of having them enter a file name, why don't you use the filedialog to select a file, just you would to select an Access database or a Word file from Windows Explorer?

This saves them the trouble of having to remember the path and filename.
