Windows desktop icons losing their place
Hi
A client's desktop icons keep getting 'rearranged' when the connection to the server is lost
His whole Windows profile is stored on a Synology NAS
When the Server is rebooted then the user knows that he is going to have to rearrange the icons on his desktop once again
Is there anyway for the local Windows to 'remember how the user's desktop is arranged ?
thanks

If the Auto-arrange icons option is checked, uncheck it. It should work. Check if the Auto-arrange icons option is turned on. (right click your desktop -> move the mouse pointer to highlight the View item -> desktop customization options).

Thanks for your responses
If the auto-arrange was enabled the icons would always be automatically arranged; which is not the case.

Have you checked what I suggested?
