"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, all you need is a site to site tunnel to AWS where you can freely connect from your local LAN to the AWS LAN. Your local LAN DHCP scope will need to point to the AWS ADDS server for DNS to be able to join.

We do this in Azure for hundreds of offices with great success (not AzureAD) as the only traffic coming across the VPN the majority of the time are DNS queries. There is a point where the VPN would be a bottleneck depending on the size of your deployment. When we feel it is close to the bottleneck we put the primary ADDS server on-premise and a secondary in Azure for redundancy. Also, I do not recommend deploying software stored on cloud storage via GPO as each request requires copying across the VPN.

@Brandon Dube
So what will happen when the employee is working from Home network?
for example : When IT admin wants to push policy for that particular  computer . Will it get applied?

Can you please explain me to solve that case?

I'm not a windows guy sorry if i'm asking anything wrong!!

When they work from home they will be able to log in (cached credentials), but policy will not apply to them unless they periodically join a point to site VPN to the cloud location.

yes, it will as long as computers can see the domain controller policies and access control will work.
