Desktop imagining within environment with different models of machine
using microsoft deployment toolkit
Is this a solution when it comes to imaging, i see its free, is it used with sysprep (which i thought had a licence for it)
Is this something that could be used instead of acronis\ghost i last used ghost 10 years ago so bare with me, may have to look into providing an imaging system, we're looking at ghost again but any suggestions with MDT would be appreciated

MDT is free. Windows Deployment Server is a free component of Windows Server since 2003 R2. Sysprep doesn't require any additional licenses. Regardless of what imaging solution you use, you must create your deployed image using a Volume License of Windows.
