I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The way I interpret this, they are different.

Pervasive computing is like computing everywhere. "Everyone" has a computer. Stores, businesses, governments, people all have computing power of some sort.

Mobile computing is using your computer on the go. I have a Laptop with a HUAWEI Internet stick plus a good wireless card. I have an Apple iPhone as well. These go with me wherever I go and 98% of the time I have Internet and can work wherever I am. That is mobile computing.
