Modal image problem

I have developed a modal image on this page. It is the color diagram showing a hot water circulator installation in a home. However, it will not function properly. When you click on the image, it opens for a second or so, is not the correct set width and after a second or two it zooms top right and disappears. Tested on Chrome and Safari Mac. Can you identify the problem? All the code is in the page. It uses CSS in the head and javascript in the page.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The style being used isn't just in the head.  You're also reading in a stylesheet "style-aa.css".
Which has it's own series of classes for ".modal" (line 534).
The styling in that one also has an animation applied which is what's sending it over to the top corner.

I don't normally do this, but I was alerted to help close this question. So, I awarded the points to the individual who provided the solution even though I'm not the Asker.

Is there anyway to remind folks that this whole shindig works on a point system?
